Athens famous Acropolis Museum and Parthenon are barely 30 minute walk from the hotel, while other glorious sites such as the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian’s Arch and the Tower of the Winds are even closer. The Lycabettus hill, the highest point of Athens is just a 20 minutes walk from the Athens Tiare Hotel and rises 277 meters above the city. On the top is the chapel of St. George. The view is unique and when weather conditions permit, you can see Piraeus, the Aegean Sea and perhaps some of the nearby islands. It is a special proposal for day or evening for coffee, drink or food in a beautiful setting with spectacular views. During summer the well-known open-air Lycabettus theater operates, with spectacular musical and theatrical events within the Festival of Athens and Epidaurus.

The capital’s most central area is Syntagma Square, barely a 10-15 minute walk away from the hotel. Watch the Presidential Guard change every hour, stroll through the National Gardens for a bit of peace in Athens’ bustling center, then walk down the paved shopping area of Ermou Street (named after the Olympian god Hermes) and admire the famous 1000-year-old church of Kapnikarea right in the middle of the street. From there you enter the mort historic part of the city.
